Watch Bangladesh Tigers play and bet on BPL, IPL and international cricket all in one place at win baje. From match winner to live betting — every ball brings a new opportunity.
Cricket's Three Formats and which competitions you can bet on
A big part of what makes cricket betting interesting is the variety of formats. Markets work a little differently in each format because the length and strategy of play differ. All three formats are available for betting at win baje.
T20
Fast FormatIn this 20-over format, the match can turn on any single ball. BPL, IPL and the ICC T20 World Cup are the three tournaments most popular with Bangladeshi fans. Because matches are short, live betting odds shift quickly, making it particularly suited for in-play wagering.
ODI
50 OversStrategy plays a bigger role in 50-over one-day cricket. ODI matches are held at the ICC Cricket World Cup and bilateral series. Total runs, top batsman and toss betting are the most common markets in this format.
Test
Long FormatIn five-day Test cricket, three results are possible — a home team win, an away team win or a draw. This format offers various markets including series betting and innings scores. Patience and analysis are more useful here.
Football and other sports betting — how it differs from cricket
Beyond cricket, win baje also offers betting on football and other sports. However, the betting experience for the two sports is quite different.
A football match lasts just 90 minutes. There are generally three outcomes — home win, away win or draw. Because goals are few, a single goal can change the entire match and the odds. In cricket, the situation shifts gradually — each over, each wicket, the end of the powerplay all move the odds.
In T20 cricket, a six or a quick wicket can shift odds by 20-30% in an instant. In Test matches, a draw is a valid result, so bets are possible on all three sides. In football, a penalty shootout is available as a separate market, which has no equivalent in cricket.
Other sports such as badminton or kabaddi have comparatively fewer markets. Live betting is most active in both cricket and football.

Popular Cricket Betting Markets
win baje offers a variety of markets for cricket betting. Each market works a little differently — seven common markets are briefly explained below.
Match Winner
SimplestSimply pick which team will win the match. In T20 and ODI there is no draw, so there are two options. In Test matches there are three options — Team A win, Team B win or draw.
Toss Betting
Before the matchA bet on which team will win the toss before the match starts. The result is confirmed quickly. This is generally a 50/50 market.
Top Batsman
Individual PerformanceA bet on which team's batsman will score the most runs between the two sides. Odds shift as the innings progresses.
Total Runs Over/Under
Run-BasedA bet on whether total runs will be above or below a set line. For example, if the line is 165 runs, an "Over" bet wins if 166 or more runs are scored.
Top Bowler
Bowling PerformanceWhich bowler will take the most wickets in the match or innings. Pitch and weather conditions play an important role here.
Multi Bet (Multiple Selections)
Multiple MatchesMultiple selections from different matches combined into one bet. If all selections are correct, the odds are multiplied — making the potential return larger. But if any one selection is wrong, the entire bet is lost. See the odds section below for a detailed multi bet calculation.
Handicap Betting
In this market, the weaker team is given a run or wicket advantage to balance the betting between the two sides. For example — if Team A receives a 20-run handicap, a bet on Team A is won not just when Team A wins, but when Team A's runs plus 20 exceed the other team's total.
Odds in Three Formats — Decimal, Fractional and American
Betting sites typically display odds in three formats. All three convey the same information — only the way they are written differs. The examples below make this clear.
Say the odds for a Team A win are written as — Decimal 2.50, Fractional 3/2, American +150 — all three are the same. A ৳1,000 bet returns ৳2,500 if Team A wins (৳1,500 profit + your ৳1,000 stake). If Team A loses, ৳1,000 is gone.
Now look at an example for the favourite — odds for a Team B win: Decimal 1.50, Fractional 1/2, American -200. American minus (-) odds show how much you need to bet to make ৳100 profit. Here, -200 means ৳200 is needed for ৳100 profit. A ৳1,000 bet returns ৳1,500 if Team B wins (৳500 profit).
| Format | Team A (Underdog) | Team B (Favourite) | Return on ৳1,000 bet |
|---|---|---|---|
| Decimal | 2.50 | 1.50 | Team A: ৳2,500 / Team B: ৳1,500 |
| Fractional | 3/2 | 1/2 | Team A: profit ৳1,500 / Team B: profit ৳500 |
| American | +150 | -200 | + shows potential profit; - shows the stake required for 100 profit |
Multi Bet Calculation
Betting on three separate matches at decimal odds of 1.40, 1.50 and 1.80 gives combined odds of 1.40 × 1.50 × 1.80 = 3.78 (approximately). A ৳100 bet returns ৳378 if all three selections are correct. If even one is wrong, the full ৳100 is lost.
Live In-Play Betting — odds change with every ball
Betting placed after a match has started is called live or in-play betting. It is most active in T20 cricket because the match can turn around in a moment.
When a wicket falls, the batting team's odds rise and the bowling team becomes favourite. Conversely, a big six or a partnership shifts the match back in favour of the batting team. The end of the powerplay, slow batting in the middle overs, or a blast in the final two overs — every event is reflected in the odds.
In a 50-over ODI, odds move more slowly, giving more time to assess the situation. In Test matches, wicket pressure, pitch behaviour and weather gradually influence the odds.
To do in-play betting you need to stay active during the match. Keep in mind — odds change fast, so a slight delay may mean you can no longer get the odds you wanted. Stay aware of keeping your betting within the limits of entertainment. Read the responsible gaming guidelines.
How in-play odds shift
Practical Tips for cricket betting
Cricket betting is a form of entertainment — nobody can guarantee a profitable method or a sure return. However, keeping a few general things in mind can make the experience better.
Alongside cricket at win baje, you can also explore more sports markets through win baje Bet.
Understand the format before you bet
Betting approaches differ for T20, ODI and Test. What works in T20 does not always apply to Test matches.
Stick to a set budget
Decide in advance how much you will spend each week or each match. Do not go beyond that.
Check pitch and conditions
A spin-friendly pitch makes a difference in bowler markets. If rain is forecast, over/under markets may shift.
Stay disciplined in live betting
Rather than placing bets one after another in the heat of the match, think carefully about which bet to place and when.
Use multi bets with caution
One wrong selection loses the entire multi bet. Combining many matches increases the risk.
Keep a betting record
Noting how much you win or lose in each market helps you understand your own habits.
